From the Pastor’s Desk

“I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who

believes, for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.”

Recently Elizabeth and I were volunteering, and we were working alongside some folks who were lovely

people but were not Christ followers yet. As often happens, we conversing and the subject of our faith in

Jesus came up. As we were sharing with one of them, she shared that she had a crisis of faith several

years ago and really wanted to develop a close connection with God. She saw in us a very real personal

relationship with Jesus and was very interested in how that works. These candid conversations led us to

see some similarities in our life struggles and knit a beautiful bond between us. I asked if she’d like us to

pray for them and her response was yes accompanied by a wonderful smile. This couple is still searching,

but I believe that the door has been opened for the Holy Spirit to love them into the inviting arms of

Jesus. Friend, you never know when God is going allow us the privilege to share the Gospel. Be ready,

for it is the greatest honor a believer in Christ can experience!
