“Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.”
1 Peter 4:9
What does grumbling look like? What does grumbling sound like? What does grumbling feel
like? Because we are to practice hospitality to one another without the afore mentioned
grumbling. I think a great place to start is by putting a smile on my face. When I’m intentional
about smiling at others, it seems like the rest of me follows suit. You must be pretty duplicitous
to smile on the outside with “grumbliness” on the inside. Just think about how someone smiling
at you affects your attitude. Your smile will often have the same impact.
Smiling,

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer.”
Great words from St. Paul for us in the good times and the times of struggle. Jesus tells us also that in this life we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world. So…if we think everything is always going to be easy or if someone tells us if we live or believe a certain way then life will be without challenges, we will be continually disappointed. The truth is that life is tough but that there will also be times of hope and celebration. The key to living a fulfilled, contented Christian life is summed up in the last 3 words of the quote above. Being “constant in prayer” will keep us in continual fellowship with Jesus. Abiding in Him brings forth peace and as we get better at hearing His still small voice, He will lead us throughout our day. By the way, if you just read this, send me an email at wakeuppc@gmail.com and I will send you a blessing!
Rejoicing in Hope,
