Exodus 34:6-7
“And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and
gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth…” Exodus 34:6
The passage above is a personal encounter between Moses and God. No wonder Moses was
so faithful through so many years and so many trials. He experienced the amazing, tangible
love of God firsthand. I sometimes forget how loving and merciful our God is, how His love is
steadfast and endures forever. I think we concentrate on other attributes of God and miss out on
His wonderful love that is passionate for us even when we are wandering or are prodigals. I love
that word…steadfast, never faltering, and never changing. That type of love that God has for us,
I want to have toward Him and every person that I meet. I confess that I’m still working on this
and would appreciate any prayers you can spare!

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer.”
Great words from St. Paul for us in the good times and the times of struggle. Jesus tells us also that in this life we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world. So…if we think everything is always going to be easy or if someone tells us if we live or believe a certain way then life will be without challenges, we will be continually disappointed. The truth is that life is tough but that there will also be times of hope and celebration. The key to living a fulfilled, contented Christian life is summed up in the last 3 words of the quote above. Being “constant in prayer” will keep us in continual fellowship with Jesus. Abiding in Him brings forth peace and as we get better at hearing His still small voice, He will lead us throughout our day. By the way, if you just read this, send me an email at wakeuppc@gmail.com and I will send you a blessing!
Rejoicing in Hope,
