“I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

-Jesus on His triumphal entry into Jerusalem

This Palm Sunday, let us not let any rocks cry out for us, as we shout Hosanna in celebration of

Jesus coming to save us from this world of sin. The beginning of Holy Week is this Sunday, and

we have a very meaningful series of services to prepare us for the Resurrection celebration.

Palm Sunday at 6:30, Trinity will host the annual Greater Hartford Methodist Men’s communion

breakfast and then at 10am we will enjoy our choir along with a Palm Sunday Skit by our youth

group! Maundy or Holy Thursday we will gather at 5:30pm for a Passover Seder (with an

emphasis on finding Jesus within the Passover) and meal, please sign up to attend! On Good

Friday at 7PM, Pastor Lee will lead our worship service as we remember Christ’s incredible

sacrifice for us. On Sunday at 7am, there will be an Ecumenical service on the Town Green and

then to church for worship services at 8:30 and 10 with musical ministry from our bell choir, choir

and praise team.

This should be a Holy Week to remember!

Hosanna!

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer.”

Great words from St. Paul for us in the good times and the times of struggle. Jesus tells us also that in this life we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world. So…if we think everything is always going to be easy or if someone tells us if we live or believe a certain way then life will be without challenges, we will be continually disappointed. The truth is that life is tough but that there will also be times of hope and celebration. The key to living a fulfilled, contented Christian life is summed up in the last 3 words of the quote above. Being “constant in prayer” will keep us in continual fellowship with Jesus. Abiding in Him brings forth peace and as we get better at hearing His still small voice, He will lead us throughout our day. By the way, if you just read this, send me an email at wakeuppc@gmail.com and I will send you a blessing!

Rejoicing in Hope,

Pastor Chris Yount
