“But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
-Matthew 6:15
OUCH! That verse hits home pretty hard, doesn’t it? Seems to me that many folks don’t know
this verse or choose to believe that it isn’t applicable to them. But if Jesus said it, then we need
to believe it and practice it. This verse causes me to stop and reflect to see if there is anyone
that I need to forgive…living or dead, whether I know them personally or whether they are a
national/world figure. Maybe they’ve wronged you individually or their teachings/policies go
against your beliefs, we still need to forgive them. Wow! If everyone did that, wars would not
occur nor would much of the strife that abounds these days. Lord, I need a lot of Your Spirit to
get the victory on this one, how about you?
Forgivingly,

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer.”
Great words from St. Paul for us in the good times and the times of struggle. Jesus tells us also that in this life we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world. So…if we think everything is always going to be easy or if someone tells us if we live or believe a certain way then life will be without challenges, we will be continually disappointed. The truth is that life is tough but that there will also be times of hope and celebration. The key to living a fulfilled, contented Christian life is summed up in the last 3 words of the quote above. Being “constant in prayer” will keep us in continual fellowship with Jesus. Abiding in Him brings forth peace and as we get better at hearing His still small voice, He will lead us throughout our day. By the way, if you just read this, send me an email at wakeuppc@gmail.com and I will send you a blessing!
Rejoicing in Hope,
