“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Elizabeth and I have been married since 1983, and I can attest to you that the above scripture from

Philippians is absolutely true. We have dwelt in the abundance of His loving care for these past 42 years.

Our first few years of marriage and then our first years of the ministry were times where we had no

choice but to trust in Jesus to provide for us. We were pretty poor in those two stretches, but from the

time we were first married, my wife taught me that we needed to tithe… we did. I must tell you that

those early tithes were pretty small, because our income was pretty small. But as our income increased,

we always made sure that our giving grew in relation to our income. Over the past number of years we

have been able to give much more than 10% and I want to tell you something. You cannot outgive God! I

am amazed over and over as we follow His teaching of biblical generosity, He just continues to pour out

His incredible blessings.

Are you dwelling in the joy of generosity? I challenge you to take a leap of faith by seeking God and

asking Him what you should give and then do it. I’m pretty sure He will pour abundantly into your life

too! By the way, the best part of His blessing us is our freedom to then bless others!
